Tah Tee - Tah Tee

On December 5 and December 19, Jon had the opportunity to travel to Toliatti to teach at a Bible school which was started by one of our graduates from the pastor's training program here in Samara. Valera saw the need for lay people in the church to be trained and so he started a Bible school which meets on Saturdays. Jon taught on Pneumatology.


Jon was also able to preach at the church on both Sundays. On the 20th the church celebrated it's 25th year anniversary!


Valera is on the left. On the right is Valera's twin brother! We had no idea he had a twin brother so you can imagine how surprised Jon was.


Toliatti has a lot of chemical plants. On the trip there Igor (Jon's translator) took a lot of pictures of these plants. Who knows what chemicals are polutting this city. It is kind of scary and even those who live in Toliatti live in fear of a chemical spill. Thankfully we are about 2 hours from this city!!!!


Oh, and if you are wondering why I titled this entry "Tah tee Tah tee", it's because when Jon came home on the 20th Josiah said "Daddy is back from Tah tee Tah tee".
