Women's Conference

I'll never forget when I first stepped into a Russian church. I was pretty overwhelmed by the number of women who outnumbered the men. I also remember that there really wasn't much available to women in regards to ministry. At that moment, staring into that church in Novosibirsk, one thought came to mind: "I would love to help coordinate a women's conference one day!"

Fast forward several years and that dream finally came true last week. The desire to do this earlier has been around for years with our fellow Russian friends but honestly trying to find a guest speaker proved a bit troublesome. Thankfully the Lord heard and answered our prayers and Lisa Hughes, alongside her husband Jack, arrived in Samara last week just in time for our first ever women's conference.

The theme of the conference was "Finding Refuge in God's Word During Trials" which proved to be extremely helpful and practical for all the women who attended.
The first session was held on February 17. My friend Tanya did
the translation. She was a nervous wreck the whole month before
the conference; she just wanted to do a great job and honor the Lord.
As soon as the first session was over she came up to me and said
that a lot of people must have been praying for her because during
the whole session her heart was so calm.

The worship team also did an amazing job. Hearing so many
women lift their voices unto the Lord was absolutely beautiful!

Wow Natalie!! I admire you so much. What a neat thing to do for all of the women in Russia.

Your boys are so beautiful - you and John have so much to be proud of.

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,
