January Birthdays

Last month we celebrated January birthdays for my husband and nephew. The last time we did this our 10 year old was a little baby only 5 months old. It was nice celebrating the birthdays together once again.

Nathan Turns 6

Last week our Naynay turned 6! I can't believe it.......time won't slow down and it's making me so sad. He's also impossible to keep up with. He has one speed and that's fast! His current favorite things are cars, Legos, and cartwheels. And if he could eat hot dogs every single day for every single meal he would! He's also asking us to put him into gymnastics class.....we'll have to see about that though.

School Is Out!

Yay..........summer time is here! We have successfully finished school.

Nathan graduated from Kindergarten! He will start 1st grade in the fall. (picture taken on last day of school)

Naturally, people have been asking me what our plans are for schooling the boys in the fall. So far we have decided that we will continue to homeschool but with the hope of being involved in a co-op or some sort of homeschooling group. Since our future is still not known yet, I can't really commit to any groups until I know for sure where we'll be. Another thing to be trusting God in!!!

We celebrated the end of the school year by taking a mini-vacation to San Diego.......again! I'll be posting some pics of our trip soon.

Jojo in Red Square

 

This was Jojo in Red Square a little over 7 years ago! It was on 

our way to Novosibirsk and we got stuck in Moscow for a day.

 

Couldn't get him in the exact spot because an ice skating rink

would have been in the way but you get the idea!

This is probably one of my many favorite pictures of Jojo as a baby.

When Jon's dad was in the hospital with his second round of cancer,

he had this picture by his hospital bed.  Every time a nurse came in

he would tell them that he had the cutest little grandbaby in the whole

world.............the nurses always agreed.

 

Jojo was playing with his Mickey ears the other day and I just

couldn't resist taking a picture!

Hand Me Downs

 

This is Jojo at 3 1/2 years old.  So thankful I have two boys so that

I can pass the clothes down.  Not sure that they will like it when they

are older but for now it works for us.

Gerson is our pastor's son here in Samara and he was born 2 months before Nathan was.  He is Naynay's church buddy.

Happy Birthday

Our "Nay nay" turned 3 last week.  We can't believe it.  He is such a little spitfire and makes our life a little more wild.  He has such a big personality and we praise God for him every day.

Outside with Grandma

Jojo loved playing outside with Grandma Maria.  He especially loved getting her soaking wet with the hose.

Well, I think Grandma Maria learned a valuable lesson.........do not give little boys a hose.  She didn't repeat the same mistake with Nathan.  He was content enough to just watch and hang out.

By the way, Josiah and Nathan are about the same age in these pictures.
