June 15th Stuck?! Sketch

I thought I'd just keep entering Stuck?! sketch challenges because it really is a great way for me to keep scrapping and I love working from a sketch. I have been so busy lately with packing and cleaning but I had some free time today so I sat down and worked on this entry. I really liked the simple sketch!

I had to look through all my scrapbook stuff to find a butterfly even though I know I could have used a different embellishment but I did find 1 butterfly!

I really like how this layout turned out! I stayed pretty true to the sketch also.

Stuck?! June 1st Sketch

So, I've made a commitment this month to complete one layout (or more) every day until June 24 (the day before we leave on a trip). I started of by entering a sketch challenge. This is only  my second time entering into a challenge like this...........they definitely motivate me to get a layout finished.

Stuck?! March 1st Sketch

One great thing about entering scrapbooking sketch challenges is that it gets me motivated to scrap! While Jon was gone I worked on several pages. After seeing other people's layouts, I realize mine are still drab.............gotta keep working harder on my layouts! Maybe add more bling or something.

Stuck?! January 1st Sketch

So, this is my first time ever entering any sort of online sketch challenge. It is actually one of my goals for the year to enter 1 challenge so I am happy to cross it off my list. I really need to get to scrapping again and I figured this is a great motivation. Obviously living in Russia doesn't make things easier for this hobby of mine. I've basically got to work with whatever I have...........so as I compare my layout with others, I'm a bit embarrassed. Lot's of bling going on in so many layouts and  my style is pretty much classic. I always  desire that my photos be the centerpiece of a layout, but that's not saying that I don't like using bling or glitz because I certainly do.

So, here's the sketch:

I probably could have spent more time on this layout but

I needed to start somewhere. One thing is for sure though,

entering a challenge like this is great motivation to 

try my hand at more scrapbooking!
