We have a but problem.

In our home school Pre-K, I have been teaching Josiah some songs. The latest one has been "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". For some reason though Josiah can't get pass the word but.......... you know the part that goes "Merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream". Well he has changed the lyrics to "Merrily, merrily I kick your butt a dream".

He definitely got that from you. You were always the queen of butchering lyrics. Let's take a stroll down memory lane...

"Hope for the modern man" = "Vote for the modern man"

"Only Natural" = "On the metro"

Oh how funny! Yep, I think you are right!! Jon laughs his head off at me because I can't get the lyrics right for most songs. If I really think about it I could come up with a ton more. I also get idioms wrong too.

Josiah recently got the "Bumble Bee" car from Transformers. Anyway, I thought the car said "Be of good mode", but I was watching the cartoon the other day and realized that the car actually says "Vehicle Mode". That makes a ton more sense!!!!

Natalie,
Thank you for posting this! It was the laugh I needed to end this exhausting day. We have the flu here at this house.
Love,
