Hoarfrost

We woke up this morning to a beautiful sight. All the trees were white! It's actually been so cold the last few days but sometimes no matter how cold it is things can sure look so pretty. It's too cold to use the camera outside so I snapped a few pictures on the way to church from inside the car.

I know, Melissa! Some days when it's -16 and I'm walking home from the grocery store carrying a bunch of bags I wonder what in the world is this Southern Cal gal doing here in the frozen tundra!!!

Wow, that's pretty - but yeah, can't imagine it either when our temps are around 30C every day with humidity to match!

Lovely pictures, Natalie :)

Here in Michigan we've had a pretty mild winter...the last couple of weeks we've had some snow, one bad day so far with "white-out" accidents on the roads... but all in all, not too bad. A couple of years ago there was a night of freezing rain, and in the morning it was bright and sunny, and huge icicles hung from the trees. They looked sooo pretty sparkling in the bright sunlight like crystal ornaments on the trees. I wish I had taken a picture but I was on my way to work and didn't have my camera. Sigh.
